Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble

The Ananuri fortress dates back to the XVI-XVIII centuries and is located on a foreland by the river Aragvi. It served as the castle and residence of Aragvi's Eristavis (Dukes), a feudal dynasty that governed the region from the 13th century. The fortress has witnessed numerous battles throughout history. The area offers breathtaking views of the fortress and Jinvali Reservoir, making it an ideal spot for landscape photography. The fortress was in use until the start of the 19th century, and in 2007, it was added to the tentative list for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Site program.

Before lunch, you can enjoy the thrilling rafting experience surrounded by beautiful nature. It's a unique chance to savour some super delicious homemade traditional dishes, especially the Khinkali - the homeland of these dumplings.

Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument

If the weather is good, you can go Paragliding in Gudauri. Please note that Paragliding is not included in our services and will incur an additional cost of approximately 100 USD.

Consider visiting the Friendship Monument Georgia-Russia during your trip, but it's optional. This monument was built in 1983 to commemorate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk and the ongoing friendship between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. It's on the Georgian Military Highway between Gudauri, a ski resort, and the Jvari Pass. The monument is a large round stone and concrete structure that offers a breathtaking view of the Devil's Valley in the Caucasus Mountains. Gudauri ski resort is located on the south-facing plateau of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia, in the Stepantsminda District and at an altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level. The resort is a fantastic destination for sightseeing, with fresh air and excellent opportunities for horse riding, mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, and more.

Stepantsminda, Georgia

Stepantsminda, also known as Kazbegi, is a popular destination for its breathtaking location in the Greater Caucasus Mountains. It is a hub for trekkers and mountain climbers, with Mount Kazbegi being a must-see attraction. Visitors can also explore the scenic alpine meadows and forests of the Kazbegi Nature Reserve. Another notable landmark is the Gergeti Trinity Church, located outside the town. To reach the church at the mountain's peak, visitors can rent a special car from the Kazbegi village for a fee of 5-7 dollars per person.

Gergeti Trinity Church

The Holy Trinity Church, commonly known as Gergeti Trinity Church, is located near the village of Gergeti. Situated on the right bank of the Chkheri River and beneath Mount Kazbegi, the church stands tall at 2170 meters. Constructed in the 14th century, it is the only cross-cupola church in the Khevi province. During times of danger, valuable relics, including Saint Nino's Cross from Mtskheta, were brought to the church for safekeeping. Despite religious services being banned during the Soviet era, the Gergeti Trinity Church remained a popular tourist attraction. It is an active establishment of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church. Visitors can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire valley from the church. Due to its isolation in a steep, mountainous area surrounded by nature, the church remains Georgia's most iconic tourist destination. The view of Mount Kazbegi, towering at 5047 meters high, is awe-inspiring.
